Paul J. McGarvey - Founder, Managing Director
Paul has over thirty years of investment banking experience working with lower-middle clients in food and agriculture-” farm to fork.” His clients range from upstream to downstream food and agricultural companies. He has extensive experience in the value-added supply chain. His work spans a variety of transaction types, including mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts, recapitalizations, restructuring, financial advisory services, and capital formation. He founded Chadron Capital Markets, L.L.C., a food and agribusiness investment firm based in Des Moines, IA. Paul previously co-founded Cybus Capital Markets, L.L.C., a leading, national, lower middle-market food, and agribusiness investment banking firm, and worked for Merrill Lynch, Principal Financial, and Cigna Investments in an institutional sales and investment capacity. Paul has an M.B.A. from Babson College, Wellesley, MA, and a B.S.B.A. from the University of Denver, Denver, CO.
Susan Wyka - Partner
Sue has over 30 years of experience in investment banking, private equity fund management, equity, and mezzanine investing for the food, agribusiness, and bio-energy industries. Her experience includes financial advisory, capital raising, and merger and acquisition services. Sue is an affiliate of Ascendant Financial Partners, a Denver, CO food and agriculture investment banking firm. Prior to joining Ascendant Financial Partners, Sue was a partner and owner of Cybus Capital Markets LLC, vice president at Newman and Associates, second vice president at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, senior analyst at UNUM, and credit analyst at Hartford National Bank. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College where she graduated with top honors and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Sue’s FINRA licenses include Series 24, Series 27, Series 79, and Series 7.
